Are you a Jew by birth who simply doesn't feel at home in an Orthodox or Conservative congregation? Are you part of an interfaith family? Part of a same-sex couple? A Jew by choice who is looking for a warm and inclusive congregation where everyone is always welcome? Are you new to our city and looking for a friendly and welcoming congregation to join?
Whoever you are and whatever your background, if you are looking for a synagogue that makes Judaism relevant and meaningful to YOU, you’ve come to the right place!
But don’t just take our word for it… Be our guest!
The best way to find out about Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom is to experience it for yourself. That’s why guests are always welcome here. Drop in to any of our Friday evening Erev Shabbat services, Saturday morning Shabbat services, festive holiday celebrations, or one of our wide variety of programs or events. You will be warmly greeted by our friendly and approachable Rabbi, Cantorial Soloist, Board members and congregation who will be happy to answer any questions you might have about our Temple family.
Of course, you are welcome to attend as many of our services or events as you like as our guest, but we’d love to have you join our Temple family. We offer a wide variety of membership options, including individual, couple, family, single parent family, wedding couple, and out-of-towner rates (for those who live beyond a 200 km radius outside of Montreal). We also offer memberships at special reduced rates to young adults under the age of 35. And if finances are a concern, please rest assured that no one who wants to join the Temple family is ever turned away for financial reasons!
For those who wish to take full advantage of additional Temple privileges, we also offer special membership categories, including the Rabbi’s Circle and Torah Circle.
Please download our membership application here, save and email or fax it to us at 514-937-7058.
If you have any questions about joining Temple, please call Heidi Reinblatt at 514-937-3575, ext. 217.
There’s something for everyone at Temple!
